Turn aging into owned work

The problem

Payer edits change. Claims that were clean last quarter sit in 90+ because nobody called, or because the person who called did not know the portal. Aged A/R becomes a spreadsheet of hope.

How we work it

Four recovery controls

  1. 01

Work insurance A/R on a cadence by dollar and age, not by whoever shouts.

  2. 02

Reconcile paid vs. allowed. Underpayments are denials with a check attached.

  3. 03

Document every touch. If a payer promises a date, we calendar it.

  4. 04

For takeover work, we score the file before we start so you are not paying percentage on uncollectable dust.

Common questions

Questions

How focused aged-A/R projects and downstream insurance balances fit the recovery scope.

Yes. We can scope a focused takeover project by aging bucket, payer, date of service, balance threshold, or assigned inventory. We score the file first so the work plan separates recoverable claims from balances that should be documented for write-off.

We work secondary and tertiary balances when the primary adjudication and coordination-of-benefits information are available. That includes checking crossover status, submitting missing claims, correcting COB issues, and following each balance to payment or a clear disposition.
